Typically found on birch trees across the northern hemisphere, in colder climates, the chaga mushroom has been used as a herbal medicine for centuries. The first mention of Chaga treatment was stated in the northern regions of China. Beyond this region, further usage of Chaga as a tea was know to spread to the west part, Siberia and Ural region. Researches showed that occurrence of cancer and stomach diseases were very low, almost absent in these areas and people who drink Chaga daily often lived up to a 100 years.
