Agar Agar is a natural, vegan and vegetarian substitute for gelatin – a polysaccharide extracted from red seaweed. Odourless, tasteless and water soluble, it can be used to thicken and solidify liquids in cooking and baking of both hot and cold dishes.
Incredibly versatile as a natural thickener. Also high in fibre and a good source of iodine. Especially popular in Asian cuisine.
